| In summer, 2001, SRC's excavating services were contracted for site preparation and installation of a large recirculation sand filter (RSF) type leach field at YMCA Camp Shady Brook in Deckers, Colorado. The RSF system was installed as it is designed to treat highly variable flows, and its nitrification abilities. The system includes two 12,000-gallon septic tanks with Biotube™ effluent filters. The filtered septic tank effluent flows to a 12,000-gallon recirculation tank where the effluent is circulated through a sand filter for treatment. Once treated, the effluent passes through two Sanitron™ ultra violet light units for disinfection prior to discharge to Four-Mile Creek. Click >> to visit their website YMCA Camp Shady Brook |
